Basketball Recap: New Life Christian Academy Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but New Life Christian Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 60-59 win over the Greater Vision Academy Lions.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Life Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle Baldwin, who went 9-for-15 en route to 20 points. Baldwin's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Mason, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.

New Life Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Greater Vision Academy lost, don't look at Josiah Love. Despite the final result, he posted 27 points. Amari King was another key player, putting up 11 points.

New Life Christian Academy's record is now 15-17. As for Greater Vision Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

As of now, neither New Life Christian Academy nor Greater Vision Academy have any future games scheduled.
