Basketball Recap: Hebron Takes a Loss

Hebron and 21st Century Charter squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Hebron had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the 21st Century Charter Cougars and fell 84-50. The Hawks have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Leading 21st Century Charter to victory were Terrence Hayes and Lemetrius Williams. Hayes shot 71% from the field en route to 24 points along with seven assists and three steals, while Williams dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Hayes' big performance that evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronald Mosley, who posted ten points.

Hebron's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for 21st Century Charter, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Hebron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for 21st Century Charter, they will take on Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches.
