Baseball Recap: Mercer County Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Mercer County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted since April 15, 2024.

Jackson Doughty was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Noah Worthington was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Mercer County pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Paul Laurence Dunbar, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
