Baseball Game Preview: South Side Rams vs. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers

The South Side Rams will head out to face off against the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Side has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Side fell victim to Riverview and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Raiders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Side saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Ziegler, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Apollo Ridge by a score of 5-4.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-5. As for South Side, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

South Side might still be hurting after the 10-3 defeat they got from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
