Volleyball Recap: Central Arkansas Christian Gets the Win

Central Arkansas Christian's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Sheridan Yellowjackets by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Central Arkansas Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-16, 26-24, 25-21.

Kayla Myers paced Central Arkansas Christian's offense, picking up 20 kills. Myers got some help from Mia Adams and her 23 assists. Adams and Myers didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with four apiece.

Coming up, Central Arkansas Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Episcopal at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Sheridan and Benton will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Yellowjackets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
