Basketball Recap: Rolesville Extends Winning Streak to Four

Rolesville had won three straight games and Caitlyn Jones did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Rolesville Rams enjoyed a cozy 50-34 victory over the Heritage Huskies thanks in part to Jones, who went 6 for 14 en route to 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals. She is becoming a predictor of Rolesville's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 8-9 when she doesn't).

Another player making a difference was Kayla Bush, who posted four points in addition to seven boards and three steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Rolesville's record now sits at 14-9. As for Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Rolesville will head out on the road to square off against Wake Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Rolesville is facing Wake Forest at the right time seeing as Wake Forest is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Heritage, they will welcome Wakefield at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wakefield will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Heritage surely won't give up without a fight.
