Paxton is a perfect 5-0 against Vernon since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bobcats will challenge the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Paxton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Paxton duked it out with Chipley on Tuesday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 16-15.

Emily Ward and Marley McClelland did some serious damage despite the final result: Ward scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while McClelland scored a run while going 3-for-4. Ward also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Delia Pennington was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Vernon fell victim to Paxton and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bobcats, falling 15-0. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Paxton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Everything went Paxton's way against Vernon in their previous meeting on Friday, as Paxton made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
