Basketball Recap: Eldon Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

If Versailles wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Eldon, they should've done a better job of containing Kenzi Ward. The Eldon Mustangs narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Versailles Tigers 55-53 thanks in part to Ward, who went 8 of 18 en route to 28 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those seven boards gave her a new career-high.

Eldon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Versailles, they dropped their record down to 11-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Eldon has already played their next game (against Stover), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Versailles will head out to take on Osage at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
