Baseball Recap: Bunker Hill Takes a Loss

Bunker Hill lost against St. Stephens back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bears lost 15-5 to the Indians. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kamden Bortz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Bunker Hill: the team is 6-3 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-9 otherwise. Carson Hollar was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Bunker Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for St. Stephens, they moved to 12-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Bunker Hill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-8 loss against Foard on the 22nd. As for St. Stephens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against Alexander Central on the 22nd.
