Softball Game Preview: Bloomsburg Panthers vs. Milton Black Panthers

The Bloomsburg Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Milton Black Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bloomsburg managed to slip by Danville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Bloomsburg came up short against Danville on Wednesday, falling 20-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Milton hadn't done well against Selinsgrove recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Milton was the clear victor by a 15-3 margin over Selinsgrove. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Black Panthers considering their two-run performance the game before.

The win got Milton back to even at 1-1. As for Bloomsburg, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Bloomsburg skirted past Milton 4-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bloomsburg since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
