Baseball Recap: Peebles Comes Up Short

Peebles lost to Manchester back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 7-6.

Tyler Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Braylen Stephens was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Peebles' record is now 12-8. As for Manchester, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Peebles and Manchester will both be playing Fairfield the next time they take the field. The Indians will host the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Greyhounds will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
