Preview: Perry County vs. Cornersville
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Cornersville. They will challenge Perry County on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Cornersville are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Perry County are stumbling in off of five consecutive losses.
Cornersville put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season last Friday. Everything went their way against Mt. Pleasant as the team secured a 48-0 win. With Cornersville ahead 35-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Perry County took a serious blow against Collinwood, falling 0-53. Perry County were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-39.
Cornersville's victory lifted them to 5-0 while Perry County's defeat dropped them down to 0-5. We'll find out if Cornersville can add another positive mark to their record or if Perry County can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Cornersville's step.
