Volleyball Recap: Providence Christian Eagles vs. Houston Academy Raiders
Providence Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Houston Academy Raiders. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 25-16 in the first set.
Providence Christian took Houston Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-18, 25-19, 18-25, 15-9.
Houston Academy was led to victory by Louisa Faulk and Ann Davis Sinquefield. Faulk had ten digs and three assists, while Sinquefield had 20 kills and 15 digs. That's the most assists Faulk has posted since back in August.
Providence Christian's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Houston Academy, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-8.
