Preview: Fontainebleau Bulldogs vs. Live Oak Eagles
The Fontainebleau Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Live Oak Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Fontainebleau focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Fontainebleau escaped with a win against Archbishop Chapelle by the margin of a single free throw, 39-38.
It was another big night for Brooklynne Callahan, who scored 19 points along with three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Annalise Shidel, who scored six points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Live Oak unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 60-49 to Parkview Baptist.
Fontainebleau's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Live Oak, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.
Fontainebleau didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Live Oak when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 37-33 win. Does Fontainebleau have another victory up their sleeve, or will Live Oak turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
