Recap: Stone Mountain Pirates vs. Midtown Knights
The Stone Mountain Pirates''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They lost to Midtown at home by a decisive 21-6 margin. Stone Mountain was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Midtown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Stone Mountain's defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. As for Midtown, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stone Mountain's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Druid Hills at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Druid Hills will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Midtown, they will be playing at home against Johnson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Johnson is ranked 390th, while Midtown is ranked 405th).
