Soccer Recap: Seminole Extends Winning Streak to Three

Seminole waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Countryside Cougars. Given the Warhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Cougars are ranked 261st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Seminole's offense was hitting Countryside from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Iris Epperson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Seminole has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Countryside, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Seminole didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Hollins on the 9th. Countryside has also already played their next game, a 10-2 defeat against Dunedin on the 10th.
