Basketball Recap: Bryan County's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bryan County entered their tilt with Screven County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 64-59 win over the Screven County Gamecocks. This was a revenge game for the Redskins: when they faced off against the Gamecocks back in December of 2024, they had to take a 48-45 loss.

Screven County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Percy Flowers, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 21 points. The dominant performance gave Flowers a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was LeVez Roper, who posted 17 points and five boards.

Bryan County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Screven County, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bryan County will welcome Emanuel County Institute at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Screven County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Savannah at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Screven County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Savannah likes a good challenge.
