Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Father McGivney Catholic). They breezed past Sandoval to the tune of 89-57 on Monday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-24.

Marissa/Coulterville better keep an eye on David Carroll. He was instrumental in Father McGivney Catholic's win, going 8-for-12 from beyond the arc on his way to 39 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Carroll now owns an excellent 45.9% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Chase Jansen, who went 8-for-12 en route to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

Father McGivney Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Marissa/Coulterville's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Father McGivney Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 14-16.

Marissa/Coulterville didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Father McGivney Catholic in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 50-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marissa/Coulterville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
