Football Game Preview: Dos Palos Broncos vs. Tranquillity Tigers + How To Watch

Dos Palos is a perfect 9-0 against Tranquillity since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Broncos will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Dos Palos will be strutting in after a victory while Tranquillity will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Dos Palos made easy work of Mendota and carried off a 36-14 win. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

Andre Flores had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 44 yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Dos Palos: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Dos Palos proved: they limited Mendota to a paltry 2.3 yards per carry. The Broncos' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.4 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 6.63 on average over their last five games.

Meanwhile, Tranquillity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 35-3 loss at the hands of Firebaugh. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

The victory made it two in a row for Dos Palos and bumps their season record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points over those games. As for Tranquillity, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for Dos Palos against Tranquillity in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
