Recap: Culver Academies Eagles vs. Twin Lakes Indians
After losing to the Twin Lakes Indians the last time they met, the Culver Academies Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Culver Academies snuck past Twin Lakes with a 38-33 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Culver Academies.
Culver Academies' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jenna Kerr, who scored four points along with ten rebounds. Kerr hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Piper Brumm was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addie Bowsman, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Nickerson, who scored 11 points.
Culver Academies' win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-7. As for Twin Lakes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.
Culver Academies will be playing at home against Lowell at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Twin Lakes, they will head out on the road to face off against North White at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North White will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Twin Lakes is ranked 103rd).
