Softball Game Preview: Western Tech & Environmental Science Wolverines vs. Catonsville Comets

Western Tech & Environmental Science hasn't had much luck against Catonsville recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wolverines will venture away from home to challenge the Comets at 4:00 p.m. Western Tech & Environmental Science has given up an average of 12.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Western Tech & Environmental Science came up short against Carver A&T on Tuesday, falling 21-12.

Meanwhile, Catonsville won against Mount de Sales Academy on Thursday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Comets' way against Dundalk as they made off with a 12-5 win. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Catonsville and bumps their season record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Western Tech & Environmental Science might still be hurting after the 24-6 defeat they got from Catonsville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
