Kingston has no trouble against Marietta

Recap: Kingston Redskins vs. Marietta Indians

The Kingston Redskins won the last time they faced the Marietta Indians, and things went their way on Friday too. Kingston was the clear victor by a 62-41 margin over Marietta. Given Kingston's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Marietta is ranked 364th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Marietta saw an underclassman step up: Luis Garcia scored nine points. Jorge Remis was another key contributor, scoring seven points.

Kingston's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Marietta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingston will take on Plainview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Marietta, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sulphur at 8:00 p.m. Hopefully Marietta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
