Soccer Game Preview: East River vs. Viera

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the East River duke it out with the Viera at 7:00 p.m. on Monday... East River's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

East River is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They beat Bayside by a goal, winning 1-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Ethan Meyer, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Viera hasn't lost a match since December 16, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They and Satellite finished up their game with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Hawks' first draw of the season.

East River's win bumped their record up to 4-11-1. Viera's draw makes their record 10-3-1 this season.
