Basketball Recap: Ridgemont's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Ridgemont can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 37-34 win from a begrudging Golden Gophers squad. This was payback for they, who suffered a 43-32 loss the last time these two teams met.

Ridgemont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kylie Shreve, who posted 13 points and six steals. Shreve has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Ruth Eckstein was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds.

Ridgemont's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for Ridgedale, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Ridgemont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 41-37 defeat against Cory-Rawson on the 21st. As for Ridgedale, they will be taking part in a tournament against Newark Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Newark Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Ridgedale surely won't give up without a fight.
