Baseball Recap: Aggieland Homeschool Sets Scoring Season-High Against Normangee

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aggieland HomeSchool). They blew past Normangee 22-3 on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded Aggieland HomeSchool with their most commanding win of the season.

Cason Meadows was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Levi Henderson was a standout: he scored four runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Wyatt Wood was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Aggieland HomeSchool kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Aggieland HomeSchool and bumps their season record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Normangee, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Aggieland HomeSchool Panthers challenge Fayetteville Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Fayetteville has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Normangee will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Centerville at 7:00 p.m. on March 28th.
