Softball Recap: Warwick Wins Going Away Against Cedar Crest

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manheim Township, Warwick was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Cedar Crest Falcons get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. That looming 17-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

Warwick got a massive performance out of Marlee Martin, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Martin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Nolt, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Warwick always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Warwick back to even at 3-3. As for Cedar Crest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Warwick will be playing at home against Governor Mifflin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cedar Crest, they will head out on the road to take on J.P. McCaskey at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
