Baseball Recap: Wayne County Takes a Loss

Wayne County managed to slip by Stone the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Wayne County lost 12-4 to Stone on Friday. The War Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tomcats earlier this season, when they won 10-8.

Wayne County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayson Graham, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another was Hudsen Mills, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Wayne County has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. Stone has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

While Wayne County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
