Baseball Recap: Cole Camp Takes a Loss

Cole Camp suffered their closest loss since May 16, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lincoln Cardinals by a score of 5-3. The Blue Birds' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Cole Camp saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Hatfield, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Clayton 'Ziggy' Archambault also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Cole Camp's record is now 2-8. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Cole Camp will host Eldon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln, they will venture away from home to face off against Russellville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
