Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinidad). They really took it to the Dolores Huerta Prep Scorpions for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-36 victory. The Miners pushed the score to 57-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Scorpions had little chance of recovering from.

Nathan Sandoval was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted 16 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Gegelman, who had 11 points.

Trinidad's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Trinidad didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-42 loss against Crested Butte on the 25th. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Rye at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
