Soccer Game Preview: Westside vs. Wren

The Westside Rams will challenge the Wren Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Monday, Westside didn't have quite enough to beat Southside and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Wren kept a clean sheet against Palmetto on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mustangs. Given Wren's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Palmetto are ranked 121st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wren is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those six contests. As for Westside, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
