Baseball Recap: West Harrison Takes a Loss

West Harrison fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against George County on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 7-6. The Hurricanes haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Carlos Pena made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

West Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for George County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Harrison will face off against Picayune at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Harrison's pitchers better be ready for this one: Picayune has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for George County, they will take on Long Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
