 After a string of six wins, Colby's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. They lost  6-0 to the Holcomb Longhorns. Colby has not had much luck with Holcomb recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
 For Holcomb's part,  not much got past  Korryn Johnson, who gave up just  one  hit and racked up 14 Ks to keep Colby off the board. Johnson has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, Holcomb saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Makayla Tolbert, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Tolbert has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Brooklyn Deniston was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Colby's defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-7. As for Holcomb, their victory was  their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 21-0.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: they beat Colby by a score of  6-1 later that day.
