Volleyball Game Preview: Alliance Bulldogs vs. Hill City Rangers

Alliance is 0-3 against Hill City since October of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Rangers at 3:00 p.m.

Alliance is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since September 25th on Monday. They came up short against Chadron, falling 3-0.

While Alliance was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-12, 25-14.

Kenley Jelinek put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had ten digs and one assist. Reese Armstrong also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Custer typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Hill City proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 22-25, 25-18.

Alliance's loss dropped their record down to 8-23. As for Hill City, their record now sits at 19-12.

Alliance came up short against Hill City in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
