Basketball Recap: Hodgson Vo-Tech Comes Up Short

Hodgson Vo-Tech lost against Appoquinimink back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles were dealt a 78-45 defeat at the hands of the Appoquinimink Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Jaguars are ranked seventh).

Hodgson Vo-Tech's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Appoquinimink, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Looking ahead, Hodgson Vo-Tech will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mark's at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hodgson Vo-Tech is facing St. Mark's at the right time seeing as St. Mark's is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Appoquinimink, they will head out on the road to take on William Penn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Appoquinimink has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
