Football Recap: Stratford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Stratford and White House-Heritage pushed the score to 58-42 the last time they played White House-Heritage, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Spartans received a blow as they fell 19-3 to the Patriots. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Anton Wilson threw for 115 yards on 11 of 27 attempts. Jaxyn Law was his top target, picking up 47 receiving yards. On the ground, Santana Frost rushed for 31 yards.

Among those leading the charge was Xavier Murray, who threw for 141 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score.

This is the second loss in a row for Stratford and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for White House-Heritage, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Stratford will be playing at home against Westmoreland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for White House-Heritage, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sycamore at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
