Volleyball Recap: Greenfield Comes Up Short

The Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks came up short against the Waukesha South Blackshirts on Monday and fell 3-1. The Hustlin' Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Waukesha South scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 19-25, 25-20.

Greenfield's offense was headlined by Ryan Walhovd and Aaron Wendricks, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Romario Ortega and his 22 assists. Wendricks was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Greenfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Waukesha South, their victory bumped their record up to 9-16.

Greenfield has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Pewaukee on the 18th. Waukesha South has also already played their next matchup (against Martin Luther), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
