If Cedar Grove was riding high fresh off their 87-30 takedown of Mt. Zion last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cedar Grove Saints fell 68-58 to The Villages Charter Buffalo on Saturday. The Saints' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Cedar Grove lost, don't look at Yusef Bowyer. Despite the final result, he posted 24 points. Javonte Floyd was another key player, putting up 14 points.

The Villages Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Adyn Corbin out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Corbin is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Britt, Jr., who went 10 of 19 on his way to 24 points.

Cedar Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for The Villages Charter, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Cedar Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 87-33 victory against Clark on the 20th. As for The Villages Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 93-87 win against Lake Minneola on the 19th.
