Basketball Recap: Forest Grove Takes a Loss

If Forest Grove was riding high fresh off their 70-39 takedown of Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Forest Grove Vikings took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigard Tigers on Tuesday.

Forest Grove has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Tigard, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Grove will face off against Lake Oswego at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tigard, they will head out to challenge Nelson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nelson is on a four-game streak of home wins, Tigard a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
