Baseball Recap: Vandalia Comes Up Short

Vandalia lost to Litchfield two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vandals took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Purple Panthers.

Adam Buscher was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Andrew Casey was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base.

Vandalia's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Litchfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vandalia will host Dieterich at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Litchfield, they will welcome Gillespie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
