Volleyball Game Preview: Eldorado Firehawks vs. Bishop Gorman Gaels

Eldorado is 0-5 against Bishop Gorman since March of 2023 but things could change on Monday. The Firehawks will head out on the road to challenge the Gaels at 6:00 p.m.

Eldorado is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to Cheyenne.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 24-26, 25-19, 25-20.

Bishop Gorman not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2nd (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Rancho with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Gaels in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.

Bishop Gorman's got stronger as the match went on, holding Rancho to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-17.

Bishop Gorman found their leader in sophomore Nicholas Pasco, who had nine digs and one assist.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Bishop Gorman, they pushed their record up to 8-14 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Eldorado suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Bishop Gorman in their previous meeting on April 2nd. Can the Firehawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
