It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Edison ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Fountain Valley Barons. This was payback for the Chargers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Hannah Stolba was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Hannah Steinmetz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Edison is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fountain Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Edison wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-10 defeat against Santiago on the 2nd. As for Fountain Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Corona del Mar on the 2nd.
