Palmer scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They and the Harrison Panthers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Terrors suffered a 25-24 defeat. The Terrors lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 36-12 score last time.
Palmer's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Messiah Rogan, who rushed for 14 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 90 yards and one TD. Jaiden Vills was another key player, picking up 20 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Harrison had a senior duo take command as RAWLSTON JOHN gained 83 total yards and two touchdowns and JEILO HAMENYIMANA rushed for 105 yards. HAMENYIMANA is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 3-1 (and 0-6 when he doesn't).
This is the second loss in a row for Palmer and nudges their season record down to 1-9. Their recent woes sure aren't a result of their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 7.15 yards per carry in those games compared to only 1.6 in the others. As for Harrison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.
As of now, neither Palmer nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
