Volleyball Game Preview: Brea Olinda Wildcats vs. Magnolia Sentinels

The Brea Olinda Wildcats will head out to challenge the Magnolia Sentinels at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Brea Olinda will be strutting in after a victory while Magnolia will be coming in after a loss.

Brea Olinda had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt La Habra last Thursday. The Wildcats blew past the Highlanders 3-0. The Wildcats not only won last Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 3rd (when they won 3-0).

While Brea Olinda won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Magnolia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Bolsa Grande.

Magnolia took Bolsa Grande into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 26-28, 18-25, 25-14, 15-9.

Magnolia's loss dropped their record down to 8-21. As for Brea Olinda, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
