Basketball Game Preview: Tempe Buffaloes vs. Coronado Dons

Tempe is on a three-game streak of home losses, Coronado a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Tempe Buffaloes will get right back to it and host the Coronado Dons at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Thursday, Tempe came up short against Cortez and fell 63-54.

Meanwhile, Coronado also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Cortez by a score of 53-41. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Colts are ranked 93rd).

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Tempe, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Everything came up roses for Tempe against Coronado in their previous meeting on January 10th, as the team secured a 62-31 victory. Will Tempe repeat their success, or does Coronado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
