Baseball Recap: West Morgan Comes Up Short

West Morgan lost against Vinemont back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The West Morgan Rebels fell just short of the Vinemont Eagles by a score of 5-4.

Colby Jones stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Stalls, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

West Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Vinemont, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

West Morgan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-3 defeat against Athens on the 28th. As for Vinemont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 16-2 loss against Fairview on the 25th.
