Soccer Recap: Earlham Takes a Loss

Earlham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 7-0 to the Gilbert Tigers. While losing is never fun, Earlham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Gilbert are ranked 37th).

Earlham's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Gilbert, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2-1.

Earlham has already played their next game (against Des Moines North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Gilbert, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Bondurant-Farrar on the 29th.
