Soccer Recap: Cape Coral Triumphs

After failing to score in their last game, Cape Coral made sure to put some goals up on the board against Palmetto Ridge on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Palmetto Ridge Bears a 5-0 shutout. Considering the Seahawks' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Palmetto Ridge with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Olivia Toro (2), Alexis Myers (2), and Sophia Vianest.

The win got Cape Coral back to even at 9-9-3. As for Palmetto Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4-1.

Cape Coral wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Aubrey Rogers on the 16th. As for Palmetto Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-1 victory against Bonita Springs on the 16th.
