Football Game Preview: Redwood Christian Eagles vs. Foothill Falcons + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Landon Devoe-Krowicki and Dylan Souza are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Redwood Christian Eagles will square off against the Foothill Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Redwood Christian's defense has only allowed 11.4 points per game this season, so Foothill's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Redwood Christian will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points back in October, then bounced right back against Modesto Christian on Friday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 42-18 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Redwood Christian's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Modesto Christian's QB won't forget Donovan Cortez anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Redwood Christian got some further help from Joel Miranda: he made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Meanwhile, Foothill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Livermore, falling 38-17. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 529th, while the Cowboys are ranked 237th).

Redwood Christian will have to contain Max Shuga as he made an impact in Foothill's last game. He picked up 127 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 42 yards. Shuga showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 62 yards.

Redwood Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Foothill, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
