Overhills had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 14-9 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Terry Sanford Bulldogs 3-2. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 9-2 win back in March.

Overhills got a great performance from Brendon Blumenauer as he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aaron Frink, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Danny Sykes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Overhills lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April.

As for Terry Sanford, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-5. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Terry Sanford's side, Jack Reaves spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. Reaves has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Terry Sanford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Mozingo, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Another was Louis Smelcer, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

As of now, neither Overhills nor Terry Sanford have any future games scheduled.
