Football Game Preview: Lynden Lions vs. East Valley Red Devils

The Lynden Lions will face off against the East Valley Red Devils on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lynden comes in on four and East Valley on 11.

Lynden is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 win over West Valley.

Meanwhile, East Valley won against Rogers last Saturday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Red Devils blew past Burlington-Edison 56-22. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won ten contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

East Valley's win came from a few key players Lynden will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cody Gasseling, who rushed for 153 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 77 receiving yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Greyson Stevens was another key player, picking up 193 receiving yards and four TDs.

East Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Stevens and Dominic Verduzco. Stevens has been hot recently, having posted two or more receiving touchdowns the last four times he's played.

East Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Lynden, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
